Project snapshot
- Customer
- Large iron and mining enterprise
- Audience
- Operations and maintenance teams managing high-volume industrial equipment and long-lived assets
- Pain
- The legacy maintenance setup created downtime risk, slow performance, and difficulty keeping the maintenance strategy aligned with production needs.
- Solution
- Predictive maintenance platform
The challenge
The client wanted to move beyond a legacy ERP workflow and add predictive maintenance capabilities without losing the historical data needed to keep the plant running. That meant migrating five years of records, reworking the data model, and adding new maintenance logic without slowing the system down.
Our approach
Design for the decision, then build the system around it.
We worked in Agile two-week sprints, synchronizing closely with the client while they transitioned from the old ERP environment to SAP S/4HANA. The work centered on Reliability-Centered Maintenance, a risk matrix, and a new data architecture that let the team plan maintenance from the browser, coordinate through Active Directory, and keep execution centralized in one system.

Solution description
What the maintenance platform was designed to improve.
- Move from reactive maintenance to proactive condition diagnostics
- Migrate five years of records into a modern SAP-based architecture
- Keep high-volume maintenance workflows fast enough for live operations
- Centralize planning, execution, and reporting in one system
What the system is designed to make easier.
- Introduced a proactive maintenance model based on condition diagnostics and predicted failure trends
- Reduced repair costs by 40% and increased equipment reliability by 3%
- Improved performance so key actions completed in seconds rather than minutes

Results
The platform improved reliability and cut maintenance cost.
The new platform turned equipment maintenance into a proactive, data-driven process for the client’s industrial teams.
Repair costs were reduced by 40%, equipment reliability improved by 3%, and key actions completed in seconds rather than minutes.
The third case builds a pragmatic bridge from legacy ERP workflows to predictive maintenance at scale.
The page emphasizes migration, RCM planning, SAP S/4HANA integration, and the operational gains from the new platform.
